Aubrey Shick

PRINCIPAL REGULATORY CONSULTANT

Aubrey Shick is a digital health and regulatory strategy expert with deep experience spanning federal leadership, AI/ML policy development, and human-centered product innovation. As a former Senior Digital Health Advisor at the FDA’s Digital Health Center of Excellence, she helped shape national regulatory policy for AI/ML transparency, medical extended reality, and digital mental health, and led the formation of the FDA’s first Digital Health Advisory Committee. She also led the agency’s inaugural 2024 public meeting on generative AI–enabled medical devices, guiding cross-sector dialogue on emerging regulatory considerations.

Her career includes extensive industry experience driving innovation and usability in complex health technologies. Before joining the FDA, she led product design and human-robot interaction at Embodied, Inc., product UX strategy at Intel, and advanced human factors engineering at Medtronic. She also serves as a Research Affiliate at the ATLAS Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder, where her work focuses on human-centered approaches to digital health.

She brings direct FDA regulatory expertise across AI/ML, SaMD, CDS, and digital mental health; deep proficiency in human factors and usability engineering; and a collaborative approach that bridges technical innovation with regulatory rigor. At Launch and Logic, she partners with clients to ensure their products are regulatory-ready, grounded in transparency and trust, and positioned for sustainable adoption and long-term impact.
